Monday’s Raw seemed to be a total mess, with several last-minute changes that led to fans rating it “the worst ever.”
These changes will be largely ordered by Vince McMahon, who will return to helm the program following the announcement of WWE’s new deal with Endeavor to unify with the UFC.
All of this has caused great mistrust and uncertainty regarding the future behind the scenes of WWE, and more details are now known.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, reactions to Vince McMahon’s return have been mostly negative, especially after several assurances that he would not be involved creatively.
Recently, WWE and many managers have been assuring talent that the CEO will not be involved in the creative part, even in the meeting hours before Raw begins.
In an interview with CNBC, Vince McMahon stated that he would not be involved in the creative details, but that the changes he made to Raw’s plans had disappointed many Superstars.
Some of these superstars claim that the changes weren’t all bad from a creative standpoint, but the dishonesty of the situation, given that some fighters have been fired by Vince McMahon in the past, was a real blow.
The journalist notes that many of the fighters were very frustrated with the changes, for not participating in the DisplaysDisappointingly, Vince McMahon returned after several months with Triple H.
Many talents believe that WrestleMania 39 and the Endeavor deal were just a way to get Vince McMahon back at the helm of the company.
Faced with this situation, some WWE talent told the journalist that they are considering asking for the company’s resignation if Vince McMahon stays longer on the creative team for himself.
Another talent says that if the situation persists, he will just wait until his current contract expires, so he can leave WWE.
