MMany people are already accustomed to taking off the shoes that they wore during the day on the street and at work, as soon as they come home. If you haven’t done so yet, know that you are only bringing bacteria into your home. And they are thousands.
Jill Lett, a professor of environmental studies at the University of Colorado in the US, recommends removing your shoes when entering the house. The website “House Beautiful” states that it reduces dirt inside and reduces traces of feces.

He explains that he should pay special attention if he has children at home who tend to walk a lot on the floor. “Hand-to-mouth contact is one of the main forms of exposure of children to toxic substances and infectious disease agents,” he adds.
He also explains that in some cities, pesticides used in parks can be brought home. Jill Lett also talks about a University of Arizona study that identified more than 421,000 bacteria brought in from abroad.
For two weeks, 10 participants put on new outdoor shoes and then went home. Escherichia coli was one of the bacteria present.
