Police say one of the richest men in Great Britain has been murdered on his own property. Richard Sutton, 83, owns two five-star hotels and other properties in central London.
The incident took place at Sutton Garden in Dorset, south of England. The man stayed Dangerously stabbedThe woman who came with him, his long-term life partner, was critically injured and is currently in a hospital in Bristol. His condition is estimated to be critical.
In London, a 34-year-old man from the Killingham area of Dorset was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. According to police, the victim and the accused knew each other.
Sutton was ranked 435th on the list of the richest people in Great Britain – the Sunday Times Rich List – last year and his net worth was estimated at 30 301 million. They include, among others, the five-star Sheraton Grand and Athenaeum hotels in central London, as well as a variety of country gardens.
