Daniel Oliveira despaired over the results of his “All You Need Is Love” on Saturday nights on SIC. The program conducted by Fátima López, which succeeds “Jornal da Noite” in prime time on SIC, did not exceed half a million viewers (511 thousand) last Saturday, ranking eleventh in the official MediaMonitor audience peak. Its direct competitor on TVI, the telenovela ‘Festa é Festa’, had nearly twice that – 801,000 spectators. The problem is not limited, however, to this Saturday. “All You Need is Love” had an inconsistent attendance on Saturday nights on Channel 3, but always with results of less than half a million viewers. The numbers are higher than “Tabu”, by Bruno Nogueiro, its predecessor on the channel, but below expectations and Oliveira’s investment.
Despite the program’s poor result on Saturday night, SIC managed to “save” the day, outperforming TVI by 4 tenths (13th of a share, vs. 12.6%), thanks in large part to the still-standing “Jornal Nacional” score . The most watched program on TV.
Another problem in the afternoon…
The “Fatima Lopez case” does not end there. Also, Saturday afternoons are not popular with SIC. “Caixa Mágica”, the program presented by the star, which replaced “Alô Marco Paulo” in the afternoon of the station – moving this station to the morning – could not compete with the competitor “Em Família”, with Maria Cerqueira Gomes and Ruben Roa on TVI .
It must be remembered that Fatima Lopez was the face of projects on SIC that have no particular day and are inspired by the station’s past. Dissatisfaction with the results affects Daniel Oliveira, who, in a period of great pressure on the results, equals the future of the programs, as well as Fatima Lopez, who does not like seeing her projects in the background and without a specific day.
