the Instagram has announced the launch of a new feature, called Quiet Mode, that will block any notifications and private messages received through the app — which will be especially useful if you’re having trouble focusing.
In addition to preventing Instagram notifications from being sent, Quiet Mode will also display a small warning if someone tries to send you a private message to indicate that, at that very moment, they don’t want to disturb you.
The news was announced in a blog post in Instagram, which adds that Quiet Mode will be especially useful for protecting younger users.
“Teens have told us that every now and then they need some time for themselves and that they want ways to focus at night, during school, and during school. You can easily customize the Quiet Mode hours to fit your schedule, and once you turn the feature off, we’ll show you a small summary of your notifications so you know what you’ve been missing.”can be read in the Instagram post.
Quiet Mode is coming to Instagram users via a new update that is being rolled out gradually. It is currently only found in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
