Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth producer Yoshinori Kitase says Square Enix is preparing a big announcement related to the 2023 Final Fantasy series.
In a New Year’s message posted on the official Final Fantasy website, Kitase says the company is dedicated to supporting the team on Final Fantasy 16, the next entry in the series, but is also focused on planning the announcement schedule for Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth.
However, when he talks about another big announcement, Kitase sparks players’ imaginations and leaves us pondering the possibilities.
As he says, “There’s another big announcement unrelated to Final Fantasy 7 that I can’t say anything about yet. You can be sure we’re working hard to ensure that 2023 is the most exciting year ever.”
Nvidia’s famous slate, revealed in September 2021, listed Final Fantasy 9 Remake and Final Fantasy Tactics Remastered among the games in development by the company’s partners.
Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamer Edition, Kingdom Hearts 4, and Tactics Ogre: Reborn have been officially announced and debuted on Nvidia’s slate.
