An assistant health technician is the professional who assists, under the guidance of health professionals with higher education, in the provision of health care to users, in the collection and transport of biological samples, cleaning, hygiene, transportation of clothing and materials, preparation, cleaning and sterilization of spaces and the provision of logistical and administrative support to the various health units and services.
Training of an assistant health technician enables the student to perform different functions in different contexts in the health field. This versatility makes the course particularly useful for those who want to succeed on a professional level.
On the other hand, training is not limited to technical and technical components of operational support in the field of health, but also promotes the concept of humanization. During the 3 years of the course, students learn how to empathize with others and are provided with tools that help them develop respect for the physical and psychological fragility of the people they are supporting, preparing them to be professionals with a profession. To this end, the student has the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in practice, through an apprenticeship, in places of their choice.
After the end of the course, the Associate Health Technician has a wide range of work to choose from, namely hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, IPSS, analysis centers and medical offices.
