On the morning of Wednesday, 07, at the Catholique University of Tocantins, in Palmas, the opening of the 2nd State Exhibition of Permanent Education in Health and the 1st Exhibition of Health Research began simultaneously. The presentations have the theme “Science and Education in Health: Transforming Practices” and are promoted by the State Department of Health (SES-TO), coordinated by the Escola Tocantinense do SUS Dr. Geismar Gomez (ETSUS).
The event aims to exchange experiences, studies, expertise and routine research in the Unified Health System (SUS) in Tocantins and will present oral or banner presentations of 68 accredited works, 40 of which are successful experiences in permanent education in the field of health and 28 scientific research in health. The exhibitions will continue until the eighth Thursday and target health workers in all fields, professors and students of higher institutes of health, in addition to municipal and state health councils.
SES-TO’s Director of Occupational Administration and Health Education, Carlos Vilento, thanked all participants for their attendance. “This is a unique moment for scientific research in Tocantins, as this was an event created and designed for 139 municipalities, as well as all health workers, in order to bring knowledge about public health in our state. We thank the commitment of the organizing team and all the participants,” he said.
“This is a space for health workers and students and we hope that these exhibitions will be able to promote deep exchanges, transformations in health services, always improving, because this is our goal, caring for SUS users,” said Fabiola Sandini Braga, Director of ETSUS.
Also present at the opening of the exhibitions, Secretary of Health of the Municipality of Arias, Cleber Flavio de Paula Teixeira, spoke of the importance of the event. “We brought our team to participate in the event, which is very valuable to the municipality, as it gives us support to continue working and developing procedures. And we will transfer knowledge to servers that cannot come,” he concludes.
