Sao Paulo – a Town hall in Sao Paulo This Sunday (11/27), 10am-3pm, is offering a quick test for HIV and initiation of pre-exposure prophylaxis (HIV)to equip🇧🇷 The location of the event is the elevated Minhocão, near the Marechal Deodoro metro station.
Materials for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases will also be distributed free of charge to the population, such as condoms (internal and external), lubricant gel and HIV self-tests.
This last test allows the person to take the test wherever and whenever they prefer, in a private and independent way.

Minhocão is traditionally chosen on Sundays as a destination for sports, such as running, cycling, and outdoor activities for families.
The Public Health Initiative “Outside the Walls” is considered by the Coordination of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STI/AIDS), of the Municipal Health Department of São Paulo.
PrEP and PEP
Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is a method of prevention that prevents HIV infection even when there is contact with the virus. PrEP must be taken daily, regularly, before risks are experienced.
PEP should be taken within a maximum of 72 hours after exposure, preferably within the first two hours.
Both stand-ins will be offered free of charge by the City of São Paulo in Sunday’s (27/11) event.
