First, choose the hardest nuts. Set aside the driest ones or the ones with holes. When preparing chestnuts, give light strokes and make them so that the stroke captures the base of the chestnut. Then put the whipped chestnuts in a saucepan with coarse salt and boiling water. Turn it over and set it aside for 20 minutes. During this time, preheat the oven to 250 ° C.
Finally, when the time is up, drain the water and spread the chestnuts on the baking sheet. Sprinkle the coarse salt over the chestnuts again and roast them for 20 minutes. Finally take it out of the oven and enjoy this delicious treat. You can accompany roasted chestnuts with liqueur, preferably fresh, in contrast to the warm chestnuts when serving!
