According to the Russian company, gas consumption in the UK decreased by about 4 billion cubic meters.
“In this way, 95% of the decline in global demand corresponds to the countries of the European Union and the United Kingdom,” the company explained.
According to Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE), gas reserves at underground storage facilities in Europe were replenished by 68.6 billion cubic meters as of October 30, but Gazprom says it cannot guarantee Europe’s safe passage through the fall and winter.
