Ukrainian businessman Vyacheslav Bogoslav, former director of Motor Sich, an aircraft manufacturer based in the city of Zaporizhia, has been arrested on suspicion of treason, Ukrainian media reported.
Bogoslaev, one of Ukraine’s richest men and a former parliamentarian, is suspected of collaborating with Russian forces in occupied areas, including Zaporizhia, by supplying them with materials, including aircraft engines, that were used to repair and manufacture helicopters used in the attacks on Ukrainian territory, reported Ukrainian security services.

Ukrainian authorities have arrested the 83-year-old former Motor Sich manager and taken him to Kyiv.
Motor Sich, one of the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers, was founded in 1907 in Zaporyjia in southern Ukraine. Bogoslav held management positions from 1988 until 2006, when he took on the position of President Emeritus. Motor Sich’s departure from the actual presidency coincided with the beginning of his political career.
In 2007, he was elected to parliament by the Party of Regions, the pro-Russian party group consisting of Mykola Azarov and Viktor Yanukovych.
