The government has transferred over R$100 million to promote health

The Minister of State for Health, Beto Brito, signed this Wednesday (19) the release of more than 100 million Brazilian reals of resources for the programs already underway. The announcement was made during the 36th Congress of the Council of Municipal Health Administrations (Cosems).

In all, there will be three major transformations, which range from health monitoring to critical disease research procedures and hospital funding. The largest investment will be made in the State Program for Strengthening Health Surveillance – Provigia, which has jumped from R$ 30 to R$ 50 million, funds earmarked for monitoring actions and strategies in municipalities. With a focus on qualification, Provigia seeks to improve transport to municipalities in a strategic way and expand the regionalization of health.

“These are resources that change the health reality of all the 399 municipalities of Paraná. Governor Ratino Jr., from the beginning of his administration, has given clear guidance to the municipal character of the government, whereby measures can reach the homes of people from Paraná,” said Beto Prieto.

Also within the scope of Population Health Services, an additional transfer of R$50 million was announced to finance the care of the complexities of medium and high-end hospitals. “We have always had full confidence in the management of Sesa and the state government. All these resources are an expression of the good relationship between the municipal and international spheres that we cultivate in Paraná,” said the Chairman of the Paraná State Municipal Secretariat. Among the released resources, government investment incentives in health transport stand out, which amounted to R$88.19 million.
