It is one of those unique places in the world that will fascinate anyone. Olho da Terra, as it is called, is a natural pool formed by the Cetina River and containing a cave at least 155 meters deep.
It is located in southern Croatia This natural attraction, specifically in the village of Cetina Šibenik-Knin County, Dalmatia Region. It is also called Izvor Cetine or Eye of the Cetina.
Earth’s eye is part of the karst mountain system that includes the region. This type of geological terrain is conducive to the appearance of caves, canyons, or underground rivers.
Clear but icy water
In this specific case, the natural pool consists of the source of the Cetina River.
Thus, the water is very cold, from 4 to 8 degrees Celsius, and snorkeling is intended only for the bravest.
The depth of the cave is still unknown, as it was recorded by divers at a depth of 155 metres.
