Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed, on Monday, through social networking sites, that Russia is attacking “all of Ukraine”, from the north to the south of the country, and terrorizing the population, but he also stressed that this attack “will not break” the Ukrainians.
“All night and all morning, the enemy terrorized the civilian population. Drones and missiles attacked the whole of Ukraine. An apartment building in Kyiv was bombed. The enemy can attack our cities, but they will not be able to bring us down,” said the president.
The attacks left at least three people dead and three injured in Kyiv, according to the mayor of the Ukrainian capital.
These attacks, according to Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, hit critical infrastructure in three regions, and cut off electricity to hundreds of cities and towns across the country.
But the Russian military confirmed that it had hit “all” of its targets in Ukraine. “The Russian armed forces continued to attack with long-range and high-precision weapons on Ukrainian military command and control facilities and energy systems,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement, adding that “all identified targets were hit.”
