Since the Algarve popped last week for her hair, let’s get back to her for her words. Not only from the Algarve, but also from other regions which are recorded in books or dictionaries, often in local editions of limited circulation, even if elegant. The title of this record consists of words in Valar Algarveo DictionaryBy Eduardo Brazao Gonçalves (enlarged second edition, 1996, from Algarve em Foco Editora), it means something like “They fought there on the hill over the bowl. Cursed!” But “Parana”, according to this book, has other meanings besides the bowl, and it could be “a painted pottery jar”, “a wizard” or “a short resourceful woman”.
