RIYADH, 22 August 2022 (WAM) — The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Nayef Al Hajraf highlighted the importance of relations between the GCC states and the UK.
Addressing the opening session of the first phase of the GCC-UK Free Trade Negotiations on Monday, Dr. According to a press release from the GCC Secretariat, Al Hajraf expressed hope that the talks would lead to an ambitious free trade agreement that would open up new frontiers.

The leaders of the GCC member states hope that these talks will deepen the strategic partnership with the UK in all areas of economy, trade and investment, said Dr. Al Hajraf.
The first round of talks, held through video link, continues till August 25.
