The UK government has summoned China’s ambassador to London to seek clarification on China’s “increasingly aggressive behaviour” towards Taiwan, the British Foreign Office announced this Wednesday.
The announcement came a day after China wrapped up six days of military exercises around the island of Taiwan in response to US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taipei.

“The UK and its partners condemn in the strongest possible terms China’s expansion into the region around Taiwan,” British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said in a statement released by her office.
