From August 4-6, the area was the scene of the popular Rally Vinho Madeira motorsport event.
For you to enjoy these festivities safely, the Regional Directorate of Health makes the following recommendations:
When watching the Madeira wine rally…
Respect the instructions of the organization and the security forces. Keep it in a safe place. Have fun, but prevent accidents.
Remember, you don’t need alcoholic beverages to have fun. If you consume any alcoholic beverages, do so in moderation and do not drive.
Wear a hat and sunglasses (UVB, UVC, UVB) and use sunscreen (= or > 30). Protect yourself from the sun! Have fun, but avoid sunburn.
If you are going to the mountains, wear appropriate shoes.
Drink water throughout the day, even when you don’t feel thirsty. Have fun, but prevent dehydration.
Wash your hands frequently. If you don’t have soap and water, use an alcohol-based disinfectant solution. Keep them clean!
Transport food and/or meals safely using thermal bags or bags with ice cube trays. Avoid using sauces such as mayonnaise and cream.
– If you start fires, use only the right places.
Keep children under constant supervision.
