The 2022/2023 season of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam starts this weekend (29-31 July 2022) in Rio de Janeiro. Once again, the best competitors in the Masters and Pro categories will gather at Arena Carioca 1, in Parque Olímpico da Barra, for three days of exciting battles.
On July 29, 30 and 31, Abu Dhabi Jiu Jitsu Pro (AJP) will host elite athletes in the 2022/2023 season opener. Brazil loves jiu-jitsu and loves the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam. AJP anticipates crowded stands and exciting fights over the course of the three days.
His Excellency Abdel Moneim Al Hashemi, President of the Jiu-Jitsu Federation greets all the Jiu-Jitsu athletes and fans and wishes them all the best: “We are proud to present another season of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Tour for athletes of all nationalities. Masters department opens schedule on July 29, 2022
The best athletes in the world over 30 will be at Carioca 1 on July 29. The competition is open to athletes of all nationalities who wear the purple, brown and black belts. Contestants will be divided into four age groups for males and one age group for females.

The professional division will be operational on July 30 and 31, 2022
After the Master, it will be the turn of the main event, with the Pro class entering the mats on Saturday (30) and Sunday (31), also at Arena Carioca 1. The world’s best men and women will test their skills in two days of exciting battles. Each gold medal will award champions 3000 points and major cash prizes.

The ADGS 2022/2023 season will feature events around the world
The new season of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam starts from July 29-31, 2022 in Rio, then makes a round-the-world trip. Eight events are scheduled to take place over the next eleven months, until May 2023. Jiu-Jitsu competitors will have the opportunity to enter the ADGS mats in Brazil, the United States, Japan, Russia, China, Australia, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
