David Carmo’s departure to Porto increases Bruno Rodriguez’s expectations for the new season. From an optimistic perspective, SC Braga is planning a campaign of a higher standard than the previous campaign, speaking both individually and on behalf of the team.
“Goals? Trying to do better than last year. That’s how I find myself: trying to do better. And also collectively. We have to think this way. We didn’t win any titles in 2021/22, and in the last three seasons we’ve won the Portuguese Cup and the League Cup. The idea is to be present in the finals and try to win it. That’s what the club lives for, and prepares for the future,” he points out.
The defender spoke to Minho’s various communication channels, as a guest in the “Shopping Cart Entries” section. A name that sparked curiosity… “Am I strong in the wagon? Not really, just as a last resort,” he replied.
Among other curiosities, he learned that the young man born 21 years ago in Barreiro has already played other roles in the field. “Yes, I was a defensive midfielder and I liked it a lot. I still prefer to play central.”
Bruno Rodriguez, who trains with the Algarve Arsenal players, talks about “a good pre-season, as always”. “We have a lot of good things and even more to improve,” he stressed.
