25-year-old Danish Mads Pedersen (Trek-Segafredo) won stage 13 of the Tour, between Le Bourg D’Oisans and St. Etienne, with a distance of 192.5 km, while Denmark’s Jonas Weinggaard (Jumbo-Visma) retained the lead in the general classification and the yellow jersey.
Britain’s Fred Wright, 23 (victory Bahrain) finished second in the race, at the same time he won, while Canadian Hugo Hall, 31 (Israel-Premier Tech) came third on arrival at St. Etienne, already 30 seconds away from the top three.
The yellow jersey, 25-year-old Danish Jonas Weinggaard (Jumbo-Visma) crossed the line in 19th place, 5 minutes 45 seconds behind Mads Pedersen. At the same time as second overall and Tour winner in 2020 and 2021, 23-year-old Slovenian Tadej Pogakar, who was 12th in the race: remained 2 minutes 22 seconds behind the Dane, in Second place in the general classification.
Portugal’s Nelson Oliveira (Movistar) finished the stage in 71st, 6m97s after Mads Pedersen. The only National Representative still in the race ended up moving up one place in the general classification, from 73rd to 72nd, and now 1h40m 55secs from Jonas Weinggaard.
The 14th stage of the Tour takes place on Saturday, the 16th of this month, over a distance of 192.5 kilometers, between St. Etienne and Mendy.
