Currently there are many platforms and professionals that can help you create a resume with all the necessary and necessary aspects that companies are looking for when they are in the hiring process. But what was the curriculum like 48 years ago?
Bill Gates used his Linked In account to share a document he used to apply for jobs nearly half a century ago. The post reads, “Whether you’re a recent graduate or a college graduate, I’m convinced that your resume looks much better than my resume 48 years ago.”
At the time, when he was known as William Henry Gates, the millionaire knew his skills in operating systems engineering, database management, and computer graphics. He was attending his first year at Harvard University and recalled that he was “an honors student with distinction in every way”.
Another interesting thing that Gates revealed when sharing the document was how much he measured and weighed 48 years ago: about 1.78 meters and about 59 kilograms.
Regarding the salary, being just a freshman, he had already indicated $12,000 (about €11,700), but said the salary he really wanted was “open”. It also did not have any restrictions regarding the location of the workplace.
