Dragon’s Dogma is getting a sequel on its 10th anniversary

Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma is an outstanding action RPG that recently celebrated its 10th anniversary.

More so, during the festivities, many discoveries were revealed, perhaps the most amazing of which was the development of a sequel, Dragon’s Dogma 2.

In the distant 2012, Dragon's Dogma, by Capcom, made its debut on consoles (Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Switch) and PC.
An RPG honored to celebrate its 10th anniversary has been released in digital form and in the process of those festivities has received exciting news for fans of the original: a sequel is on the way.





It was Hideaki Itsuno himself who announced Dragon's Dogma™ 2 and revealed that development is on track, using Capcom's own RE ENGINE.
Itsuno started the show by remembering how pen and paper lured and influenced him into the popular RPG video game, steeped in fantasy and magic.

However, this passion of his, which will lead him in the direction of Dragon's Dogma, had to wait a while as he was first devoted to projects such as Street Fighter II and Devil May Cry 2, 3 and 4.







After the Devil May Cry games are over, Itsuno can finally turn in the direction of the fantasy RPG he's been longing for.  The distinctive way of fighting with magic and using the ability to grab majestic enemies created a space of its own for the Dragon's Dogma.  However, it was the Pawns (our faithful helpers) recruitment system that helped Dragon's Dogma secure its own magic and stand out from other RPGs of the time.

The pawn system arose from Itsuno's desire to ensure that in a single player game, players feel connected to others through the pawns they created and trained.
Itsuno also revealed that the development of Dragon's Dogma 2 includes some of the original game's development veterans like Daigo Ikeno and Kenichi Suzuki, who are working hard to create a level sequel to the original.
