The chaos in the Federal District’s public health is a recurring topic of concern. To CB.Poder – a program of Correio Braziliense in partnership with TV Brasília -, on Monday (20/6), the President of the DF Medical Association, Gutemberg Fialho, links neglect with the shortage of professionals in public networks in the Federal District. Federal District. In addition, it reinforces that precarious working conditions are likely factors for mental fatigue and other issues associated with difficulties in the health field.
In an interview with journalist Denis Rothenburg, President Vialho said that it is currently necessary to appoint at least 4,800 new doctors. “The biggest difficulty is the lack of professionals. We need servers that meet the demand,” he says. The absences, he says, include gynecology, pediatrics and other public health sectors in the Federal District. According to the president, the Federal District Health Department (SES-DF) argues that it is hiring workers. However, Villaho points out that it is necessary to open bids that offer better conditions of service.
new office
In relation to the Ministry of Health and previous administrations, Fellaho highlights failed attempts to solve related problems in the public networks of development cannons. A conversation, he said, was never answered. Although the dialogue is difficult, he hopes the new health minister, Luceline Queiroz, will live up to expectations. Since, in his assessment, it has the necessary profile to meet the requirements.
Currently, the DF Medical Association, according to the president, is asking for a meeting with the file holder. Although Lucilene has the perfect profile, being a seasoned health expert in the area, Villaho argues that the change, perhaps, came too late. “We hope, at least, that Dr. Lucelin does not make things worse,” he says, and on the eve of the election, he also thinks that the position taken by the secretary appears to him to be an electoral procedure.
resource diversion
The DF Health Ministry’s budget for health in 2022 is R$8 billion, according to Fialho. With such an investment, for him, it was unacceptable that there would be a shortage of medicine and other supplies. However, what is more dangerous than wasting is diverting these resources.
“Complaints are ongoing. We have, for example, Iges-DF, which is a scandal mill,” he explains. For the head of the Medical Syndicate, oversight should be even greater. In his opinion, there is a lack of punishment and commitment to the lives of those who need care in the health networks of the federal capital.
