Specialists from the Municipal Health Foundation attend, today (31), the work done by the primary care team entitled “Cervical Cancer Screening at UBS Codipi” during the Primary Health Care Performance Qualification Symposium 2022. The Ministry’s event takes place today (31) and tomorrow (1 ) in Teresina.
“It is an event of great importance as it engages in the three areas of government with the aim of contributing to clarifications about changes that are occurring in health performance, in relation to primary care,” explains Nádia Spindola, Director of Primary Care at FMS.
The reality of care in primary health care (PHC) services is complex and full of uncertainty, in which opportunistic examinations are mixed with daily clinical care, whether on the initiative of the patient or by a specialist.
Effective care must prioritize disease prevention and respect the personal experience of the process of health, suffering, and disease for patients through a shared approach, explains nurse Livia Maria Melo Viana, who along with Barbara Pinheiro Gama authored the project. Also participating were staff from Santa Maria da Codippi UPS, Antonio Elizo Mendes Maria das Gracas Oliveira da Silva Regina Lucia Silva de Mesquita and Alfaña Quella Viana.
