Mercadona is already recruiting for stores that will open next year in Portugal
The expansion process for 2022 has just begun, but the chain is already offering job openings for 2023.
At the beginning of April it was opened In Portugal, the first of 10 supermarkets that Mercado plans to open in the coming months. The 2022 expansion plan for the national territory has just begun, but the chain has already enlisted for spaces that will open in the country in 2023. Currently, there are four spaces planned, all in the Porto and Aveiro regions.

The next opening of the Mercadona is scheduled for next Tuesday, May 3, in the Beauvois de Varzim. By the end of the year, the brand will also open space in eight locations: Oeiras, Setúbal, Montejo, Santarem, Viseu, Santa Maria da Feira, Caldas da Rainha and Braga.
With these vacancies, which will create 650 jobs, Mercadona will reach five regions where it has not yet existed. We are talking about Lisbon, Setubal, Leiria, Santarem and Viseu. By the end of 2022, there will be 39 supermarkets owned by Spanish retailers in the country.
Mercadona ended 2021 with sales of €415 million in Portugal. Collecting the results from Spain, the value amounted to 27,819 million euros. There are more than 2,500 employees in the country who have earned 3 million euros Awards stage to the results obtained.
