Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zhelensky has called for additional sanctions and sanctions on Russian oil. Russia has warned that it will retaliate if it continues to supply arms to Ukraine. This Saturday, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and several other politicians were banned from entering Russia.
Diplomacy needs to go further. Volodymyr Zhelenki wants to isolate Russia, but says it is not enough: in addition to the weapons he hears from the West, the Ukrainian president is pushing for an oil embargo.
Russia could bring in nuclear weapons, warns Zhelensky. U.S. intelligence also considers the real danger if Putin fails.
The diplomatic letter sent by the Russian embassy in Washington to the US State Department was in a threatening tone. The Washington Post reports that the Kremlin is talking about “unintended consequences” if Americans continue to supply arms to Ukraine.
Russia’s sanctions target the United Kingdom, and a list of politicians has been barred from entering Russia’s territory. Boris Johnson was one of them who went to Kiev last week.
