On Wednesday, the Russian armed forces threatened to attack the command centers in the Ukrainian capital, from which Moscow has so far escaped, accusing Ukraine of shooting and sabotage on Russian soil.
“There are attempts at sabotage and attacks by Ukrainian forces against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation,” said Igor Konachenkov, a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry.
He continued: “If these measures continue, the Russian army will launch attacks targeting decision-making centers, including in Kyiv, which the Russian army has refrained from doing so far.”
At the end of March, Russian troops withdrew from the Kyiv region. For a month, they tried to encircle the capital and carried out several bombings that targeted the outskirts of the capital.
Moscow, in particular, has hypersonic missiles, which it considers impossible to destroy in flight due to their speed, which it said it had already used in Ukraine.
The defense ministry spokesman also said that the commercial area of the port of Mariupol, a strategic city in southeastern Ukraine, had been completely occupied.
The leader of the Russian-speaking Donetsk separatists, who are fighting alongside the Russian army in Mariupol, had already announced on Monday the military advance.
“The rest of the Ukrainian units and the Nazis [do batalhão] “Azov, who is in the city, is obscured and deprived of the possibility of breaking the siege,” Igor Konachenikov said today.
The military official also said that Moscow destroyed 36 Ukrainian military targets during attacks in the past 24 hours.
