Competent entities are currently in the house. The first patients to leave are a group of four, from the Continuing Care Unit
The Regional Health Administration of Lisbon and the Tagus Valley (ARS-LVT) has removed patients from Lar Clube da Amizade. The process is currently underway at that unit in Setúbal.
Six seniors will be transferred. All are from the Integrated Continuing Care Unit, an equivalence that has been called into question by the ARS-LVT. In addition to the six that will be transferred, the UCC still has nine more patients in the final stage of treatment, according to O SETUBALENSE.
In Clube da Amizade, in Alto da Guerra, in Setúbal, there is a continuing care unit, a home center and a day center. These last two equivalences will continue to operate.
Since the end of November, the ARS-LVT has not allowed new patients to enter the UCC at Lar Clube da Amizade.
The evacuation of the elderly will begin this morning, but the exit process is long. Not only because they are bedridden but also because they have to get tested for COVID-19 first. No one can leave without taking the test.
The first to leave the elderly are a group of four. Palmilla firefighters are already ready for transport.
The Continuing Care Unit, which has been in operation since 2007, has a capacity of 60 users.
