Everwild, which was mysteriously announced in 2019, is rumored to be completely lost in its development. The game was going to restart all of its development, to the point where some developers aren’t even sure what the game is about.
The information comes from Jeff Grubb, on his XboxEra podcast, which you can see above. A little 21 minutes later, they spoke Everwild And about the rumors that were circulating about Behind the scenes game.
Grob is emphatic in his way of speaking, saying:
“They try to talk diplomatically about it in public, like ‘People hear things about the creative director leaving and things being reset, and that’s exaggerated, but it’s not exaggerated. They’ve restarted this thing and don’t know exactly what it’s in, they’re still trying to figure it out and it’s a mess.”
As mentioned, neither Microsoft nor Rare publicly acknowledges any of this. There is no official statement for that Everwild You have restarted, or even facing any developmental problem. As always, every rumor should be treated with skepticism.
But Grubb has a good track record and credibility as an independent source of information. It is also known that the game has already lost several of its developers in key positions in the business.
“It’s not that I’m trying to be funny, the people who are working on the game don’t really know what’s going on in the game. It’s the mess that’s going on right now.” – Group repeats in the conversation.
