French President Emmanuel Macron once again asked Iran to engage “constructively” in the nuclear negotiations, which resumed today, while speaking on the phone with his Iranian counterpart Ibrahim Raisi, he referred today to the Elysee Palace, in a statement.
The memo notes that Macron indicated that Paris’ goal is to lead Iran to “return to the agreement” and “fully respect all commitments” under the Joint Global Action Plan (JCPOA, its English acronym), as the United States.
The plan is an international agreement on Iran’s nuclear program signed on July 14, 2015 between Iran, the European Union and the 5+1 group (Germany, China, the United States, France, the United Kingdom and Russia), which Washington abandoned. 2018.
In the phone call, which was also confirmed by the Iranian press, Macron stressed the need for Iran to “constructively engage” in this direction so that “talks allow for a speedy return to the agreement.”

After a five-month hiatus, Iranian nuclear negotiators met today in Vienna, after a five-month hiatus, in an atmosphere considered “positive”, although analysts remain less optimistic about the possibility of a speedy resumption.
The meeting that started this new round of negotiations lasted a little more than two hours in the Coburg Palace in the Austrian capital, where the historic agreement was concluded.

Mora welcomed Tehran’s “clear willingness to offer serious work” after the Islamic Republic expressed its “firm determination to reach an agreement.”
