In a message posted on the social networking site Twitter, Boris Johnson highlighted today that “we propose a bilateral restructuring agreement to allow the return of all illegal immigrants crossing the Macha Canal.”
AFP reports that the British ruler refers to an agreement similar to the one between the European Union (EU) and Belarus or Russia.

The Mercury wreck, which killed 27 migrants, is the most dangerous since facing the growing siege of the port of Calais in 2018, following an increase in the irregular migration of the English Channel connecting France to the United Kingdom. The tunnel used until then by immigrants trying to reach England.
During Zagreb’s visit, French President Emmanuel Macron pointed out that France was a transport nation and that it was fighting “against smuggling networks” and that “better European integration” was needed.
Expressing reconciliation, British Home Secretary Priti Patel called for a “coordinated international effort” in the British Parliament.
On Thursday, the French, Belgian, German, Dutch and British ministers were summoned by those in charge of immigration, and the European Commission summoned them to a meeting in Calais (north) on Sunday, the day after the shipwreck in the English Channel.
The Office of the Prime Minister of France, Jean Costex, explains that this meeting should define ways and means to strengthen police, judicial and humanitarian cooperation “in order to better combat the networks of smugglers involved in the exodus.”

Following talks between Priti Patel and his French envoy Gerald Dormann, the British Interior Ministry said in a statement that it had “offered France a clear opportunity in terms of cooperation (…) and joint patrols. Dangerous trips”.
For sovereign reasons, France has always rejected these proposals for joint patrols repeatedly put forward by Boris Johnson.
