In a statement, AM Experience Group Universe, which specializes in “creating family entertainment experiences,” said sales this year of Christmas exceed 1.3 million euros in Portugal (17.1% more than in 2020) and 815,000 euros in Spain (134.6%). % more than in 2020).
This coming Christmas season, AM Illumination & Arts will secure 50 projects in Portugal (23 more than last year), 23 in Spain (12 more than in 2020) and one in Andorra, having attracted 25 new clients.
Among these projects, he says, are “the shopping malls of the major groups of Iberian operators,” Klepierre, Mundicenter, Nhood, CBRE, Unibail Rodamco (Westfield), Merlin Properties, MVGM, Optimus Service, Wider Property, Cushman, Wakefield and Savills Aguirre Newman and Sonae RP, Sonaesierra, and SCCE.
With 90% of its activity focused on Christmas, AM Illumination & Arts has augmented its team with more than 100 items in Portugal and Spain who will mainly participate during these months in the fixtures referring to that time.
Quoting the statement, the CEO of the company emphasized that “AM Illumination & Arts competes internationally with large collections, with the ability to produce thousands of pieces chosen by customers from huge catalogs.”
“What sets us apart and what makes us one of the major ‘players’ in this business in the Iberian Peninsula today is customization. Each project is designed in the image of our clients and developed in close collaboration with them. We make thousands of kilometers every year to visit the centers, understand their needs and design customized projects”, João Amaral explains.
The official also highlights “the fact that some contracts are multi-year, which indicates customer confidence” in the company’s ideas and projects.
According to the company, “A game of Toyland driven by toy soldiers, a Nordic Christmas frozen, nature with symmetrical pine trees, an enchanted forest, a Santa Claus command center or a Christmas shared like a bottle of wine” inspired the fixtures that began AM Illumination & Arts in its collection in different spaces in November.
As he explains, these are “projects that combine the creativity and imagination of the time with the major lighting and decor trends of the year, where natural and organic environments with warmth and illumination prevail.”
“The influence of social networks and people’s acceptance of ‘non-stationary’ environments also dominated client requests for Christmas this year, with a large part of the projects being ‘selfie spots’ for much-desired Christmas photography,” he adds.
The company notes that lighting and decor are increasingly “perceived” by customers “as ‘data’, which is what sets them apart for the time of year when most visit.”
Another area in which AM Experience Group says it is expanding its “operating radius” and where it currently claims a “dominant position” is the ice area.
“In addition to musical performances on roller skates, produced by AM LIVE, another company of the group, it installs roller skating rinks and produces Belugas (a doll that assists in figure skating) that it exports to all parts of the world,” he says.
According to him, “This Christmas alone, AM ICE will export about 51 thousand euros of beluga to Switzerland, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom and Qatar.”
AM Illumination & Arts is the AM Experience Group company responsible for Christmas lighting and decoration projects in shopping centers and municipalities in countries such as Portugal, Spain, France and England.
The collection also includes AM Fun Play & Ice (specializing in ice rinks, themed theme parks and adventure experiences) and AM Immersive & Digital, which are dedicated to multimedia art installations, expanded exhibitions, and immersive experiences.
