Scheduling appointments through the Municipal Health Department
Another flow that needs to be redirected is the form of making appointments with the municipal health department. Starting next Monday, the USF (Family Health Unit) will use the computerized system to enter the detailed needs of each patient and their consultations. The data will be sent to the appointment center (established by the Ministry of Health), where organizational professionals will assess priorities, scheduling appointments according to the severity of patients and nothing more through a quota system for each team.
Surgical procedures and exam requirements
Also starting Monday, residents requiring assistance from out-of-home treatment (TFD) and high-complexity sectors should move to the reference USF.
For information about surgeries or tests and about intercity transportation for treatment outside Patos de Minas, requests will be submitted by the USF, and patients will be returned within 24 hours, which may also be requested online, through Aprova Digital (

Holy House of Mercy
Santa Casa de Misericrdia is located in the former Centro Clnico Universitrio building and has about 30 beds in the intensive care unit and infirmary. On site, at the height of the epidemic, the field hospital worked.
The hospital opened on August 7. The state government has allocated about R$10.7 million for the acquisition of equipment. The city council also used public resources, primarily to maintain employees.
The Dr. Paulo Borges Charitable Society is the hospital’s sponsor and has promised, including the mayor, that it will serve, in the early years, exclusively through the SUS.
