American artist Jeff Koons will create a special edition M850i xDrive Gran Coupe. The Series 8 luxury Gran Coupe will go on sale in a very limited collector’s edition, following its world premiere at the Frieze Los Angeles Art Show in February next year. In 2010, the American artist had already created the unique BMW M3 GT2 Art Car that was driven in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
“I am excited and honored to have the opportunity to work with BMW once again and create a special edition vehicle.”The artist said after the announcement of the German brand. “I was thinking about it: what is the essence of an 8 Series Gran Coupe? What is the essence of power? How do you create something that embodies all the energy of a BMW 8 Series that is also capable of touching the human element? Once again, it’s just a great opportunity to get back into action as part of the BMW family” .
