NSOn Friday, September 3, the first five episodes of the fifth and final (presumed) season of “La Casa de Papel” were released and Portuguese fans, who have already watched it to the end, did not miss any very special details.
At the end of one last scene we won’t reveal so there’s no spoiler, a version of the Portuguese song Grandola Vila Morena by Zeca Afonso plays.
The theme, which is associated in Portugal with the April 25 revolution, is interpreted by Pablo Alboran and Cecilia Kroll.
The Spanish musician was very grateful for the opportunity to give a voice to the Portuguese theme, which he called “Requiem” in the series.
“I made three wishes: a duet with Cecilia Kroll, to be part of the soundtrack for “La Casa de Papel” and to sing a song as important to Portugal as Portugal is to me’,” Alboran announced in statements to EFE.
Below is the charming version of the song “Grandola Vila Morena” that is now the new intervention song on “La Casa de Papel”.
