A survey conducted by cybersecurity firm Tanium revealed that 3/4 of UK companies invest in cybersecurity after being hacked and:
63% of leaders are concerned about cyber security after an incident;
79% of leaders approve cybersecurity budget after data breach
55% do not have enough staff to adopt preventive safety measures.
Also, according to the study, 92% of companies experienced a data breach or attack, 73% in the last year alone. A survey confirmed that malicious cyber activity remains common: 92% of respondents admitted to having experienced an attack or a data breach, with nearly three quarters (73%) over the past year. The study says the picture is getting worse for defenders: More than two-thirds (69%) admit threats are increasing and expect 2022 to see the most attacks ever.
By contrast, organizations that take a preemptive approach to cybersecurity are significantly less likely to have experienced an attack or hack in the past 24 months (79%) than those that are more reactive (90%).
In Brazil, the scenario is the same, and an increase in threats has been recorded in recent years, causing losses to businesses. For those interested, I suggest Felipe Nascimento, Technical Director of Tanium Latin America.
