In some areas, a smartphone has more difficulty picking up a mobile communications signal. Such a situation can cause, at the very least, difficulties in receiving emails, WhatsApp messages and even making phone calls.
During holiday times, it is very likely that you will be in an area where it is difficult to get good signal reception. With these three tips, you can improve the signal reception on your smartphone to stay connected to the digital world.
1. Choose a spacious place and remove the cover
The first tip may seem very simple, but it guarantees results. Try to position yourself away from metal objects and concrete walls, as both can weaken the signal. It is best to stay near a window or even outside the house.
Also remove the protective cover. This way, the antenna will not suffer from any kind of blockage and can perform better, especially if the protective covering is thicker. It is also recommended that the battery be well charged, as searching for a signal will consume a lot of power.
2. Activate and deactivate Airplane mode
A quick and simple solution is to turn Airplane mode on and off. All because this mode will reboot Wi-Fi, mobile communications and Bluetooth modems.
On Android devices, at the top of the screen, swipe the control panel to access Airplane mode. Activate it by clicking on the icon. Then wait about 15 seconds to click again and deactivate this mode.
On iPhone, you can access Airplane mode through Control Center. But in older Apple smartphone models, the process is different. In this case, move the panel from the bottom of the screen. Tap Airplane mode, which will turn orange when activated. Wait 15 seconds and deactivate it.
3. Restart the smartphone
The old trick of turning your smartphone off and on again will improve the network signal, as it resets the software components and processes.
It is effective because it eliminates temporary failures, updates network connections, reboots device modems, closes applications running in the background, and even re-establishes connections with mobile towers.
