High rates of leftovers in schedules and absences on vaccination days have been recorded since July, when those under 40 years of age began scheduling and applying. Now, with people aged 29 to 37 years old, of the 44,600 doses given, 20% were not scheduled or even scheduled but did not show up.
This percentage is more than double that recorded at ages over 40 years, when 7.65% of the doses given were not taken due to non-scheduling or not being present on the day of application. The result of the population’s non-compliance is overcrowding in the dose recap regime, which occurs on Thursdays at 5 p.m.
The group with the highest number of missed or unscheduled cases was 33 years, with 27% of 5,000 doses not identified. Subsequently, 22% of absenteeism equated to, and the 31 and 37 age groups neither looked at the agenda nor were absent on the day of application. In third place came the 29-year-old group who had an absence rate of 20.9% of the 4,000 doses offered.
“It is imperative that people seek the vaccine when there is room for their age group. From the opening from age 42 to the current, it is done gradually (year by year), the amount offered covers the entire population of that age,” explains Maria do Carmo Posident, Director of Nurses at Epidemiological Surveillance (VE), that “leaving it up for later” is not only detrimental to their health, but also to the city’s immunization progress.
However, the lack of research into the age system contrasts with the search for the abstract. According to data from Jundiaí Computer Company (Cijun), in the last summary table, held on the 12th, with 600 doses shown, 5690 were reached in just over a minute. As for the previous opportunities, where 500 doses were given in each one, the number of beneficiaries was increasing from 1.4 thousand to 2.9 thousand. “Focusing on the ‘backward’ service, this time around, the summary will offer 1,500 vacancies to the 27- to 59-year-old group, comments UGPS Director Tiago Teixeira.
Absentee age groups are the most searched for in the summary, accounting for 76.3% of vacancies. However, even in the summary app, 7% of those users lost the app. “The summary was performed exclusively for people who, for some reason, were prevented from scheduling or receiving a dose, such as those who were ill, had influenza syndrome, or were hospitalized at the time their schedule was opened,” the director recalls.
All unscheduled or missed doses are used right away to open the next age group. None of these potions are in stock or unused.
