Savannah Marshall will look to regain her world champion status tonight as the former middleweight champion takes to the division to challenge Francon Cruz-Desorn for their undisputed belts.
Marshall was undefeated until losing a decision to Clarissa Shields last year, a result that saw the Briton stripped of her WBO middleweight title as Shields became undisputed in the division.
Now, the fighter from Hartlepool faces another American at Crews-Dezurn, who will put her four middleweight belts on the line against Marshall, in Manchester. Marshall will enjoy an amateur win over Crews-Dezurn, which she bested in 2011.
The event marks another great night for women’s boxing, as Natasha Jonas is also working and looking to be the world bantamweight champion.
