The Pre-Hospital Unit (UPH) in the Western District, in Sorocaba, will once again serve all residents, adults and children, through emergency medical and dental consultations, starting next Wednesday afternoon (8), one day after The long vacation. The unit will operate 24 hours.
This measure was made possible by optimizing the epidemiological scenario in the city, while reducing the number of hospitalized patients, cases and deaths. This Saturday (4), the municipality of Sorocaba, through the Department of Health (SES), Received notification of 11 confirmed cases of Covid-19, 20 recovered and no deaths.
Reinforced by Mayor Rodrigo Manga, the Minister of Health, Dr. Vinicius Rodriguez, said: “Now is the time for health care to return to all cases and to expand working hours and units to better serve the population:
“We have carried out more than 100 vaccinations since January, thanks to the commitment of health workers and other departments, as well as the support of volunteers. After becoming the center of Covid stabilization, UPH Zona Oeste has undergone a renovation to install a network of medicinal gases. In addition to this improvement left to the municipality and citizens, equipment such as respirators and stretchers will remain in the unit to serve the residents with more structure and quality.
