The Faculty of Economics and Management (EEG) of the University of Minho, in Braga, will host on Friday and Saturday the 16th annual meeting of the “Portuguese Economic Journal” (PEJ), about 150 participants from different countries are expected.
The inaugural session is scheduled for Friday, 9:00 a.m., with PEJ Editor-in-Chief Luis F. Costa and Miguel Portilla, EEG Professor and Event Coordinator.
The program focuses on the latest developments in research in the region and includes two plenary sessions and seven parallel sessions with 48 papers, scholarly awards and social activities.
Among the speakers, on the first day, at 6.10 pm, Bruno Julian (Escola Superior de EconomÃa de Toulouse, France) spoke on cost-sharing between technology and multinational telecommunications, and on the second day, at 4.50 pm, Ricardo Reis (London School of Economics , UK) exploring recessions in the Portuguese Republic.
The event has the website pej2023.com and is organized by EEG, through its Economic and Trade Policy Research Center and by PEJ, with the support of the municipalities of Braga and Arcos de Valdevez, the Foundation for Science and Technology, Banco from Portugal and the consultants Timberlake and Consultaccount.
