Near the Volhynia region in western Ukraine and on the borders with Belarus to the north and Poland to the west, a source of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said via the social network Facebook “38 airborne assault brigades in a forested area.”
“According to the available information, orders were given to the command of the military unit to cross the border with Ukraine,” he said.
According to the General Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, “the order to fight will be issued after crossing the border.”
The same source said that the morale and psychological state of the Belarusian forces is “very low” and that “officers and military personnel do not want to play the role of Russian mercenaries.”
He added that “a large number of votes supported the termination of contracts, which mainly expire in May.”
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has confirmed on several occasions in recent days that he does not plan to attack Ukraine.
In the early hours of February 24, Russia launched a 3D military offensive in Ukraine, with ground forces and bombings in several cities. The Kyiv authorities have so far killed more than 2,000 civilians, including children, and, according to the United Nations, the attacks have already killed more than a million refugees in Poland, Hungary, Moldova and Romania, among other countries.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has justified the “special military operation” in Ukraine with the need to disarm the neighboring country, saying it is the only way for Russia to defend itself and ensure the offensive continues as long as possible.
The attack was condemned by the entire international community, and the European Union and the United States, among others, responded by sending weapons to Ukraine and strengthening economic sanctions to further isolate Moscow.
