The vacant light heavyweight title will be on the line in the main event of UFC 283, just as it was a month ago.
After a recent injury caused Jiri Prochazka to relinquish the belt he won from Glover Teixeira in June, Jan Balashović and Magomed Ankalayev tied in December, with neither man winning gold.
The UFC has now turned to a showdown between Teixeira, 43, who will be fighting in front of a home crowd in Brazil here, and rookie contender Jamal Hill.
In the co-main event, Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno will be the first fighters to have faced each other four times in the UFC, to unify the flyweight titles.
Figueiredo retained his flyweight gold against Moreno in a draw in 2020, before losing to the Mexican in a rematch the following year. In the double trio 12 months ago, Figueiredo regained the belt, before Moreno was crowned interim champion last summer to achieve a fourth confrontation with the Brazilian. UFC 283 is scheduled to take place at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Saturday, January 21.
The first premieres will start at 11:00 PM GMT (3:00 PM PT, 5:00 PM ET, 6:00 PM ET), with a follow-up at 1:00 AM BST on Sunday, January 22. (5:00 p.m. PT, 7:00 p.m. PT, 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday). The main card is released at 3:00 GMT on Sunday (7:00 PM PT, 9:00 PM ET, 10:00 PM ET on Saturday).

The card will be broadcast live on BT Sport in the UK, with the broadcaster’s app and website also broadcasting the fights.
