A couple in the UK were surprised when they were informed this month about the whereabouts of their kitten that has been missing for 10 years. According to the BBC, Big King was last seen in 2011 during their owners’ honeymoon. Colin Clayton and Eva Bellamy took their three cats in their boat to the narrow canals 40 kilometers from her home in Birmingham.
Last Sunday, the 14th, a Facebook page with the animal’s name read, “Big King is home!”
According to Colin and Eva, the kitten’s return was due to the cat’s care system, which discovered it earlier this year and began caring for it, calling it Marmalade. When he had to be taken to a veterinarian in Staffordshire, his owners were found looking for him.
“It’s a miracle,” the couple announced. “He’s well settled and beautiful considering all he has experienced. We are thrilled!”
Colin said he and Eva used to take the cat weasel and its puppies Diesel and Big Ging for a walk and that they had a habit of returning.
“The others came back normally, but Big King did not come, so we stayed for another five days, saying his name, pasting posters and walking miles around the place,” Colin recalled, according to the Metro portal. “For now, we’ll keep him at home. Big King has had enough stress in his life and we hope everything goes well.”
