Data on console and game sales in the United Kingdom was already released in December, with Nintendo Switch leading the way that month and the Xbox series taking second place and selling the first million units.
According to GI.biz, PS5 sales increased by 28% compared to November, making December 2021 the second best month for Sony’s consoles, but the Xbox Series’ sales grew by 108% to reach the best monthly sales in the UK.
The switch recorded 6% growth and of the more than 560 thousand consoles sold in December, it was the winner of the month.
DualSense controllers continued to sell parts, first white and second Midnight Black, but the black Xbox controller peaked at sales, with console sales peaking at third and white. The controller was ranked fourth on the list of best-selling parts.
FIFA 22 tops the list of best-selling games (physical and digital), followed by Call of Duty: Vanguard second and GTA 5 third. F1 2021 ranked fourth over Just Dance 2022, while Miles Morales ranked fifth.
