YuRestaurant m decided to produce a promotional video to show the renovation of their space in Emsworth, West Sussex, England. But the photos shared on Facebook of the restaurant caused great confusion.
One of the women, Lucy Watson, who is a widow, in the video wondered if the photos were old or recent, as she could see her husband sitting at the table with their son.
If they’re old, that’s fine, but if they’re new, it’s nothing, because the guy died 9 years ago.
The site explained: the photos are recent. Thus, the discussion on social networks is launched. The woman claims her late husband, Harry Doherty, appeared in the video with their son, Alex, at the restaurant at the Spice Cottage.
Lucy Watson, 59, speaking to the Daily Mail dismissed the “ridiculous conspiracy theories” surrounding her comment and revealed the identity of her “instantly recognizable” husband – an award-winning journalist and local celebrity.
Doherty, father of three, was born in Northern Ireland and was a music journalist who worked for the now-defunct Melody Maker magazine.
“I had no doubt it was my husband. I couldn’t pause the video so I had to restart it about 30 times and every time I saw it I got a little safer.” [de que era ele]He told the newspaper.
The woman thinks the video is old and the restaurant is lying by saying the photos are recent. However, Rafiqul Islam, the manager of Spice Cottage, insisted on Monday that the footage was taken two weeks ago.
“I recorded a promotional video showcasing our new wood tables and interior remodel. The remodel was completed in early January 2023 and the promotional video highlights these changes. All videos used in the video were shot the week of January 9, 2023,” it reads.
The restaurant also explains that prior to January 2023, all tables were “covered with white and red cloth”, proving that the photo is recent.
“This is an unusual situation and we hope this clears up any confusion.”
