The United Kingdom is approaching some EU countries so they agree to fully vaccinate their citizens, the foreign minister pointed out, “Reuters” reveals. As the vaccination process progresses at a good pace, the British government wants its vaccinated citizens to enjoy the summer and resume tourism activities.
In July, the British administrator considered finalizing the details of the trip, namely how to avoid isolation when vaccinated people return from their places. In May and June, the United Kingdom allowed travel without isolation, leading to the closing of doors to many places, as in the example of Portugal.
The new British rules are due to take effect on July 26, the first week of the school holidays.
Yet, according to the publication, trips for the British also depend on the countries they are allowed to enter. Last week, Portugal, Spain and Italy tightened controls on the United Kingdom as cases triggered by delta diversity increased in the country.
“We feel that the dual vaccine provides support and protection against diversity [delta], And all the evidence suggests, we need to talk to EU governments and other countries, ”Minister Kwazi Quarteng told Sky News.
Negotiations between the UK and Brussels are expanding to accept the National Health Service (NHS) application as proof of full vaccination by the EU, while the UK is committed to accepting the digital vaccination certificate for travel to the country.
