The Suzuki GSX-8S achieved notable distinction in the United Kingdom, winning the Sports Car of the Year award at the prestigious publication Motorcycle News’ Best Naked Awards.
The journal describes a model ‘A classy piece of kit‘and’It’s a lot of fun to drive‘, showing’Sports cars are fun, comfortable and capable without breaking the budget because they blend sportiness with everyday use.‘.
This is the second accolade in as many years for this Suzuki model, which has a parallel two-cylinder engine with a displacement of 776 cubic centimeters mounted on a new frame. The equipment includes Showa suspensions with SFF-BP forks at the front and brakes with Nissin radial calipers.
On board, the driver will find a color TFT screen. There’s a two-way quick shifter as standard, three power modes and three traction control settings so the bike can adapt to the ride and conditions.
Suzuki GB’s Senior Motorcycle Marketing Manager Jak Tyrrell said: ‘It’s very satisfying to see the 8R recognized as the best bike, but it’s also great to see our latest engine platform clearly a beacon in the midsize segment, with two MCN awards in two years. The GSX-8R truly sparked imaginations and clearly delivered on the promise of an affordable sports car for all drivers.‘.
